Beef Bio

This band developed from jamming with singer/songwriter Cheri Rose in Toronto during 2002. I was touring with The Watchmen and/or Sarah Harmer as Guitar Tech and Stage Manager from 2001-2004, basing myself in Toronto a lot of the time. Lounge Act had run its course and I was looking for a project to showcase some new, harder rock songs. I brought Mark “Fuzzy” Fraser in on drums, as he was the last Lounge Act drummer and Heavy presence on the kit. With Cheri Rose on bass and sweet vocals, this power trio rehearsed at Cherry Beach Studios for six months before debuting in Kingston venues. Although short lived in time together (2002-2004), we recorded the four song Beef EP at the Bath House Studio, owned by The Tragically Hip. Hip bass player Gord Sinclair was producer and guest musician on the recording.
